Use our experience and expertise to build your retaining walls.

The Northern Suburbs are renowned for being hilly, with many of the houses on sloping blocks. This often results in unusable spaces.

To make better use of your yard, you could level out the slope, install a retaining wall and then add some landscaping. Northern Suburbs Retaining Walls have transformed many unusable yards into places of joy and peacefulness.

It’s time. Discuss your ideas with us today.

Types of retaining walls

Each job is unique and there are many types of retaining walls to suit the different situations. The materials used will greatly depend on the wall height and our team will provide recommendations when discussing your retaining wall ideas. To give you an idea, we’ve created the following guide:

Wall height up to 1.2 m

We typically suggest using heron blocks or tasman blocks.
Not only do they look great, but they are also solid materials. There is no need to waterproof the back of the wall as they are a dry stack system. Which, basically means they are designed for surface water to wash away quickly.

Wall height above 1.2 m high

To support the height, you would use concrete reinforce blocks.
Alternatively you could use Sandstone Blocks, Heron or Tasman which would be core filled with concrete for extra support.
